A Solo Show by
Sarvenaaz Ghafari

“The Other” is an immersive exploration of identity, perception, and the delicate spaces between self and other. This exhibition invites you to pause and reflect on the hidden boundaries that define us and the subtle, often unspoken connections that shape who we are.

‘What we see is not necessarily what it really is.’ There is always something unknown. And there is always a perception.

About The Show

“The Other” reflects the spaces between us—the parts of ourselves that we know, the parts we hide, and the parts we encounter in others. In this exhibition, the concept of The Other is not only a philosophical idea but a felt presence—a quiet journey into the self, experienced through the gaze of another.

Through her drawings, Sarvenaaz explores femininity as a source of life and creation, where the body intertwines with nature in intimate and mysterious ways. They reveal
something unknown from within yourself to you.

Each piece is an invitation to pause, to look closer, and to consider what lies beyond the mere surface. What is ‘feminine beauty’ to you? Is it only the body?

This exhibition is not just a visual experience; it invites you to linger, to ask new questions, and to feel the invisible bonds between humans.

An Invitation to Engage

This is an interactive, immersive experience, where each space invites you to explore more deeply. The unframed drawings, mounted on vertical black backdrops, appear to float, each inviting a closer look at their lines and details.

In another part of the exhibition, you’ll encounter an installation. This setup takes you to the realm of The Other and invites a moment of self-reflection. What do you see in others? And what do you find within yourself? to them, you are only “The Other”!

In a corner, you’ll find the drawings of the artist’s mother—a quiet, intimate space that reflects an unspoken connection between mother and daughter, a shared yet unfinished story woven into the artist’s work. It is a symbol of the manifestation of an “other” in her life.
